About Me

Hello ! I'm Kanishk, the Irish Research Council (IRC) Enterprise Scholar, working on developing a Data-driven toolkit to tackle Cyberbullying among teens on social media. I was recently awarded the Online Content Safety Scholarship in 20201 by Google and IRC to pursue my doctoral studies at the School of Computing, Dublin City University, Dublin, Ireland. Previous to this appointment, I worked as a Research Assistant on a project funded by Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Content Policy grant to combat Cyberbullying using Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Social Network Analysis.

Work Experience

Associate Researcher at National Anti Bullying Centre, Dublin City University
September, 2021 - Present
Kanishk is an Associate Researcher in the DCU Anti Bullying Centre (ABC), a member of the UNESCO Chair on Tackling Bullying in Schools and Cyberspace. In his capacity as an associate researcher, he works under the supervision of social scientists at ABC to develop automated cyberbullying identification tools.

Worked on a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Content Policy grant project to study and devise techniques to understand pitfalls in current anti-cyberbullying mechanisms on social media and work on areas of development.
